22nd Remembrance of Ken Saro-Wiwa and his Nine Friends
Time & Location
About The Event
November 10 every year since 1995 has been symbolic to rights activists around the world. For Nigerians, it was the day one of Africa's finest suns set in the most brutal death ever recorded by a military junta.
Since 1995, it has been a tradition to remember the death of writer Ken Saro-Wiwa, Saturday Dobee, Nordu Eawo, Daniel Gbooko, Paul Levera, Felix Nuate, Baribor Bera, Barinem Kiobel, and John Kpuine.
This year, on Friday November 10, 2017 by 3 P.M., we are inviting you to an evening of tributary at the courtyard.
The event will feature poetry and other forms of tributes. Four guest writers/poets have been lined up to headline the evening. Dr. Obari Gomba, Mr Patrick Naagbaton, Dr. Didi Orike, and Mr Humphrey Ogu will share stories and poetry with us. Other young poets, published and unpublished, would also share their works.
